How To Measure your bra size using a measuring tape
To measure your bra size with a measuring tape, follow these steps:
These steps are useful when doing a virtual bra fitting at the london fitting clinic
1. Wear a non-padded bra and remove any outer clothing that may interfere with the measurement.
2. Stand up straight and ensure your back is relaxed and not arched.
3. Hold the measuring tape parallel to the ground and wrap it around your body, just underneath your bust. Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight.
4. Take note of the measurement in inches. This is your band size.
Next, to determine your cup size:
5. Keep the measuring tape parallel to the ground and wrap it around the fullest part of your bust. Make sure the tape is snug but not compressing your breasts.
6. Take note of this measurement in inches.
7. Subtract your band size (step 4) from your bust measurement (step 6). Use the chart below to find your cup size:
– Less than 1 inch difference: AA
– 1 inch difference: A
– 2-inch difference: B
– 3-inch difference: C
– 4-inch difference: D
– 5-inch difference: DD or E
– 6-inch difference: DDD or F
– 7-inch difference: G
-8-inch difference is GG
-9-inch Difference is H
follow these guidelines to help you on your virtual bra fitting, remember the fitter is highly trained so the fitter will know where there is a difference in between sizes and will guide you.
For example, if your band size is 34 inches and your bust measurement is 38 inches, the difference is 4 inches, which corresponds to a D cup. Your final bra size will be 34D.
Remember, bra sizes may vary between brands, so it’s a good idea to try on different sizes to find the most comfortable fit.
